Can anyone advise on a narrow car seat?

Hi,
We have number 3 on the way, and two booster seats currently in use in the car. We'll need need to fit both booster seats plus the baby carrier in across the back seat, so do you have any recommendations for narrowish baby carriers?

If you know of any travel systems style seats that clip in quickly, that would be great.

It's a fairly wide car, so this should be doable.

I found it easier to buy a narrow booster seat for my oldest, it didn't look that comfortable so she would ride in the front on a proper booster seat when DH was at work.

When all 5 of us went out she sat in the back narrow booster, it had to fit between a group 0 and a group 1 seat. It's this one, I didn't pay as much as £45 for it though.

We had two high back maxi cosi Robi high back booster seats and a maxi cosi cabriofix all across a rear seat. It was worth getting the fixed base for the Cabriofix as DC3 was in and out the car so often in a day. We used face cloths around the seatbelt "plugs" to stop them slipping down into the recesses they have in the rear seat.

We then swapped the cabriofix for a Britax Eclipse as it is a narrow based forward facing car seat.

You really do need to just keep trying different options at a local store.

I am looking into this at the moment too. Fresh what car do you have and are the car/booster seats iso-fix?

What car do you have? Is there 3 full seats in the back opposed to the middle seat being a 3/4 seat? We have a 3/4 for the middle back and ended up with a bubble bum for the middle booster, a max cosi pebble for the baby and a high back booster for the other. I was hoping for 3 car seats in back but after two trips to Kiddicare they advised me that I shouldn't try and put a car seat in a 3/4 seat space especially with two other seats (not possible anyway!) but something to do with pressure on the belts, it's unsafe.

We do have a variety if high back boosters for when DH is at work and one can ride up front, but even that's not safe unless you turn the air bag off.

It's a widish estate car (think Mondeo not Focus). There are 2 'official' seats but a 3rd headrest. We can fit 2 boosters on the middle 'bump' and one side seat so a car seat could fit at the other side.

It sounds like the MaxiCosi seats are promising then :)

Luna, I have a nearly 8 year old 4 wheel drive but for the size of car the backseat is relatively narrow.

I did manage to use the Isofix base for the cabriofix with a car seat and high backed booster seat next it. Bit of a fiddle to plug in the seatbelt for the high back booster but do-able.

If you use both isofix locations in the backseat you will not be able to put anything between them due to their positions. Think this is common in a lot of cars.

Halfords do a narrow booster which fit our middle seat ok for eldest. You can also get a tiny inflatable booster but that has no back. Don't know about narrow infant carriers.

We've just been doing a similar hunt but for a high back booster (age 4 upwards) and found the maxi-cosi rodifix was about the narrowest, so sounds like they tend to be a narrow make. When my littlest was a baby we had 2x britax kidfix seats for the older ones and she was in a britax rear-facing seat - can't remember the name of the model. I found while they are rear-facing, fitting 3 in is pretty easy, it's when they are all forward facing that it's much more of a squeeze because all the shoulder bits which tend to be the widest point are crammed in together.
