How do you get it done?! I work full time, kids do breakfast club/ after school. Often I am sole parent. 2
Kids are interested in doing homework so will do it but sometimes need help, 1 other (8) needs help and isn't interested so unless he 's willing to do it jn the little spare time i offer it doesn't get done. Other child (6) needs all help - i have so little spare time i feel they don't get enough help and the school are getting on at me now! Surely its the schools job to put more effort in if they can see a child is struggling

No, it's your job after school Wink

It's not necessary at this age but it can be a good pattern to set for secondary.

Read them stories? Get them to count going round the supermarket ? There's a lot of everyday life that fills the home work gap.

Can you speak to the after school club and see if they can do at least some of their homework there? Can you do homework with each of them on alternate nights? Surely at 6 and 8 they don't get homework set every night.
