Advice re 4th DC

Hia. I'm new here. Have recently had my DC3 who is now 4months old. I always wanted 3. Now I want 4!!

3 so far has been fine (not too different to 2) but I am aware that could change once DC3 is a walking/talking little man. I can't get my head round never doing this again and STILL feel like someone is missing.

I have been reading through lots of the threads on here and it seems that many feel like the 4th child took it to a whole new level. I know no one would ever give their 4th back but would appreciate opinions on your 4th. Did it change your life in a way your previous 3 hadn't? Was it the straw that broke the camels back?!

I have 5. Number 4 was a breeze. I think it depends upon the temperament of the baby. Baby number 5 was the one that broke the camel's back here . Wouldn't give him back though!!!

I also have 5dc but found the increase from 2 to 3 the hardest. This could be because dc2 has ADHD and was a major hand full by the time dc3 was born. After 3dc I didn't find it much different, just a bit more time consuming.

If you have 4dc you will have to move into people carrier territory though, which is more expensive than a car.

Yep I do think the nature if the children you have probably affects it all. I do wonder if that is part of why I find myself wanting 4 as we have had a relatively easy ride as parenting goes (with extreme moments that were definitely NOT easy of course!). Maybe how we get on with DC3 as a toddler will determine it! I always thought I'd get this major feeling of being outnumbered with 3 but I don't. Presume I would with 4?!
We already have a people carrier (DH bought it before we even had DC1....)

Dc4 is 10 months

I have 6. Number 4 made a huge (negative) difference to my life, yes it took it to a whole new level. Three kids is easy. I stopped going out I was so exhausted. Mind you I did have 6 kids in eight years

Wow just reading back over this. The clues in the name change but we obviously went for number 4 . He is great and we certainly wouldn't put him back

I would be interested to here the answers you would now give to your own original questions, OP, about going from 3 to 4!

My advice if asked this question would be 'go for it'. For me I had a sense of not feeling done / our family not being compete - I hated the thought of regretting NOT going for a 4th. I now feel 'done' and our family feels complete. The equal numbers definitely makes things easier in lots of ways. It was lovely experiencing that one last baby, and I have definitely enjoyed him the most and been the most relaxed (helped by the fact he was a relatively easy baby).
Now they are 10, 8, 4 and 2 it's mostly great. My main tip would be, if you can, do lots of divide and conquer. Often I'll take the little 2 to somewhere and DH will do something with the big 2 (or vice versa) or I'll have a 'date' on my own with one of the older 3. Means there's not masses of whole family time out and about, but if you asked my kids they'd definitely say they prefer it this way
