would any one rcomend a ford galaxy

hi i have 3 sons a one year old and 3 month old twins was thinking of getting this car there is my husband too we dont have a big budget what are the pros and cons any input would help ta

I have a galaxy, space wise it gives us what we need. We have plenty of room for 4 dc's, including one yr old twins with bulky car seats. We have a graco duo sport which fits behind the seats so although not a huge boot it does what we need
Downside of ours is petrol engine, I blame the fact I was 38 weeks gone with the twins when I bought it! Running cost are high with regards fuel & road tax.
A diesel would have been better
That said my insurance is pretty cheap

I preferred the Touran but the galaxy is bigger and back seats are better IMO.

Should add it drives nice, really east car to manoeuvre. Definitely doesn't feel that big when parking etc

I think it is the Volkswagon Sharan that is the same as a Galaxy, only cheaper.

We have 1 8 year old and 4 year twins and a dog.

The Sharan is 2 boxy for me.

When we had 3dcs in car seats we had a Citroen Picasso xsara. It was cheap to buy and run and also had a large boot which fitted our pram in it.

My mechanic has a Sharan & says he should have bought a Galaxy instead.

I have a grand Picasso, enough room for 3 car seats and a big boot or two extra seats. My DCs are 8, 6 and 2 so we have 2 seats and a booster, but that is on one side not in the middle. Mine is diesel and does about 350 miles on about £60, but that includes traffic on the school run.

Sorry, that's not clear, the 2 yo is in the middle in britax seat, britax booster seat one side of her and booster cushion on the other side.

My neighbour has one and it has been broken into four times. Apparently they are easy to break into! No idea if this issue has been sorted in newer models however.

We've got a very old (R reg) Galaxy which has done over 200,000 miles including numerous trips to Germany and France. It's a good workhorse, easy to drive and very comfortable.

I love our Seat Alhambra. Best car we've ever had.

i read a reveiw that says the galaxy pulls to the left is this true

I would, easy to drive and park, lots of room, economical to run (I have a diesel 1.9) very versatile - all the rear seats can be removed if a huge boot is needed. Mine is a 2001 and has a VW engine despite having a Ford badge! I love it

We have one of the newer Galaxies (2006+) and it's great. If you can stretch to one with parking sensors it makes it waay easier to get into smaller spaces . We luffs ours (especially the flexibillity of the foldflat seats and the large boot when you're not using all seven seats). Oh and yes, get a diesel! (no left pulling issues with ours BTW)
