Which 7 seater?

We are looking to replace my car and trying to decide which car to get. We have 4 children, 2 in high back boosters and 2 forward facing car seats. Would prefer a 7 seater so we have space for additional children. Also need some luggage space for weekends away etc with having to use the roof box.

So what 7 seater do you have and what do you like about it? And how has it handled in the recent snow?

S-max.We only have 3 DCs though(in high back booster,toddler seat and newborn seat) so use it as a 5 seater.If 6th seat in the back is used boot is obviously smaller but still enough room for single pushchair .Easy to drive,park ,reverse etc.Full tank of diesel £70.Was ok in the snow but may get winter tyres for next year.Looked at all the main MPVs and liked this the best,no regrets so far.

Galaxy. I have an old one (02 reg) - fits 3 children and 2 adults easily and I do the school run with 5 children plus me - all fit in with room to spare.
Seats can be reconfigured/removed to add extra space. I take one of the far back seats out when we go camping and can fit lots and lots of stuff including enormous tent.
FWIW get a diesel as they go on forever - last Galaxy did 243k miles before it conked out but could have done more with some TLC.

We have 4 children, 2 in high back boosters, 1 forward facing and one newborn seat. We have a Mazda 5 at present which they will fit in, but only with the buggy in the footwell, and there is no boot space. We're looking to replace as we can't go on holiday in this car, so our contenders at the moment are the Galaxy, Seat Alhambra and I think the other one is a Grand Picasso? We're going to take our Maclaren XLR and put into the boot of each one to help us decide. Our Mazda has sliding doors, and they are a must for our next car - wouldn't be without them!!

Incidentally we had a courtesy car a while back, a Hyundai i800 - looks like a mini bus, and was pretty tricky to park, but it had the biggest boot you've ever seen, and fitted the children in with room for probably the entire contents of the house as well. I've never driven such a big vehicle - worth considering?!

i posted about this topic about a month ago. i currently have 3dcs, 2 in carseats and a 4th due in august. we bought a 09 kia sedona and are very pleased with it. everyone has loads of room. the seats are removable so when the new baby arrives we can take the middle 2nd row seat out to create a corridor to the rear seats so can still get access to strap kids in.

engine has plenty of power. £100 fills the tank but the mileage so far has been great.

there is boot space behind the 3rd row. big enough to fit my double buggy or a big shop but for serious luggage you would probably need to use a roof box.

all up it is cracking car for a very good price.

We have 5 DCs. 2 in car seats and 3 teenagers, who need adult size seats. We have a Hyundi Trajet. It has the biggest boot we could find out of all the 7 seaters. They don't make them new anymore, so you have to get an old one. If we had the money I would have gone with the Hyundai i800. I think it had 8 seats, but a cavanus boot.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll have another look using the search again as I had forgotten about it! A few named that I hadn't thought of so off to have a look on google.

I also agree with diesel galaxy.
Not a Touran if you want to add to the room. We have just downsized and with the whole family in it it would be a squeeze now the children are getting older.

We have a Peugeot Expert Tepee (but 8 seater) we paid extra for middle isofix as it wasn't standard fitting nor an option until we begged. Haha.

I think Tepee do a 7 seater.
