how long did it take you to conceive dc3?

hi everyone
im very interested to know how long did it took others to conceive dc3. we've had a mmc last oct and planning to start again. ds1 is 3 and ds2 is 1.

Hi there. I did a similar thread a while back. My first 3 took 1,2 and 3 months. #4 took 10m.

I breastfed all my DCs and didn't use any contraception. There is 23 months between each of mine, even though my periods returned at different times after birth. It is obviously how long it takes for my fertility to return.

You can buy ovulation test strips really cheaply on the internet. If you want to try making things a bit easier, it might be worth getting some. I know a few people who have succesfully fallen pregnant really quickly when they used them.

Conceived DC3 aged 39 within 1st month of TTC.DC1 &DC2 took 2m each to conceive (I was 35 &36).When DC1 was nearly 3 & it was time to try for DC3 he somewhat limited our opportunities with night time& early morning bedroom visits and so Boots ovulation sticks played a vital part!

Thanks for that i will be using the one step ov sticks(as i did with the other3) i got pregnant in the 2nd month last sept but had a mmc in dec so just wanted to know roughly how it happened for you guys. Read some other threads on this and good to know that the odd mmc happened to others too and it doesn't necessary mean it's the begining of a long struggle(i hope) ;)

ds1 took 2 months, ds2 3 months and dd (3) 2 months x

I am sorry to hear about your mmc. It comes so unexpected, a real shock. I had one in 2007 and went on to have three healthy pregnancies back to back. Well the doc called it a "fluke" and hoping not to offend, but that's what they are. No reason for you to be concerned.

Thanks crazycrush ;) i started feeling a lot more positive about getting pregnant again and looking forward to it whenever it happens. First i was a bit worried that the age was getting bigger but some days its still so hard with only two that its not such a bad thing leaving a bigger gap. Who knows might even b a bit easier. How was it for you?

Dc1 - 3 months
Dc2 - 2 months
Dc1 - 1 night.

It seems the older and tireder I anthem more fertile I become.

DC1 1 month
DC2 a yr including 2 miscarriages
DC3 1 night!!

DC1 9 months
DC2 unplanned therefore 1 night!
DC3 3 months

DC1 unplanned
DC2 unplanned but lost at 22 weeks
DC3 6 months

DC1 (and 2, them being twins and all!)- One year, ten months. Felt like forever.
Dc3- Two years, one month.
Dc4- Ten months.

One miscarriage before my twins. I had been trying for three years six months, had regularly had checks, considering IVF etc; and suddenly it happened. I was one of the very, very, very lucky few until 8wks in.

Long times I guess for each, but compared to a lot of people, not long. I have no medical problems, and I always eventually seem to get pregnant. But I've learnt to start trying quickly if I want more DC because nature will provide the age gap for me it seems, not just waiting and then a month later, boom.

Dc3 10 months

I really expected it to happen immediately.

dc4 - 5 cycles
