Packed lunch vent

It's midnight and I have five packed lunches to make. I remember delaying tactics for homework when I was at school and this feels exactly the same...hence I'm on the computer and not stood in the kitchen. Must get up and sort them out. Usually I fork out for school dinners but I had my tax bill in Jan and had to budget. I'm so so so so so bored of making packed lunches. S

Sorry, new on this forum but it seemed the perfect place to vent! It wouldn't be so bad if they all ate the same thing!

My dc are 9,11,13 and they make their own packed lunches. Saves me the bother though it does sometimes take some severe nagging!

I agree scribbles I hate making packed lunches, especially when, even though you put in what they asked for, half of it seems to come back, to feed the bin.

One evening make enough cheese/ ham etc sandwiches to last 2 weeks. Put in the freezer. Take sandwich out for each child each morning and Throw in box, add a banana, few cherry tomatoes and yogurt. Close lids.

I pay my children 10p per day t empty/clean then repackage their lunch box, they're 8 & 6 it's part of pocket money chores.

Luckily, I only have to make one as other's aren't in school yet. I don't mind making them especially since all I have to do is make up honey and Jam sandwiches and in the morning he chooses which 3 items he takes. If he takes a kitkat, he has to take 2 fruits but if he takes a yogurt & choc raisns, he can have one fruit. It's so easy to let him have choices and avoid morning tantrums lol
