Is a triple stroller silly?

Ok so DC's are 3 (today!), 18 mths and 9 days. Currently have a Phil & Teds Sport but was thinking of trading it for a side-by-side that can take a buggy board. I don't like not having any storage once baby is in the bottom seat proper and DC1 still gets tired easily - although the scooter christmas present and a highly developed sense of competition seems to be making inroads into that.

We are walking distance of a supermarket, high street, nursery, pre-school, park and at a push the beach so I really dislike taking out the car for every trip. I have just seen this stroller Joovy and am quite taken with it.

It also looks like it would fit in my hallway whereas for a side-by-side I would need to get a storage box for outside. This could eventually be used for bikes etc as we don't have a garage but if we didn't have to buy it now the money could go towards this stroller.

Any thoughts anyone?

P.S. I know 3 may/may not be viewed as a 'larger family' but I think a triple stroller def counts as larger!!!

T3 Jogger looks better to me and has great reviews. Joovy looks very long, which would make it really heavy to go up and down kerbs and difficult to manovour. I looked into this when I used to childmind, but never bit the bullet and bought one myself, although know others who did get the jogger and were very happy with it. Nice and sturdy but probably bigger than the Joovy when folded.

Could you manage with a side by side double and a really good sling (something really supportive)? Having carted DC's about for the last few years and tried out numerous buggies/strollers I have found that if you are pushing 2 or 3 DC's you need as large wheels as possible, suspension is good too and a space for you to be able to walk properly/stride out.

In all likelihood (unless you have more DC's) the joovy would be redundant in a years time. I bought a second hand nipper and had that for a bit, it's much lighter than the phil and ted sport, you can push it with one hand which is great because then you still have 1 hand left to hold onto your walking one.

That said, for a while I had the sport and my eldest sat on the triangle bit at the front, not ideal for long journeys.

How about a double plus buggy board? I had mountain buggy duet with buggy board which you can also detach and use as a scooter. Very easy to push,narrow as a single, sturdy, good storage etc. Or just single buggy with buggy board and sling for baby?

I think this has confirmed what I already suspected. I need to keep an eye out on Gumtree/eBay now and hope something comes up soon.

Is it just me or does the last picture on the joovy look like the pram with the kids has been abandoned in the middle of the road?

Have you thought about an ABC triple? Which can be used as a twin with toddler/recline seat taken off.

I've ordered the ABC quad as I'll have 4 dc under 15 months plus 2 other dc!

Think triple strollers are ok. Having triplets soon and have 2 year old twin boys so will definitely need one. Tell us if it's any good!!!!

Been using my abc quad for the past few days. I love it! Even my 4yo has been using it and fits fine in it.

I had a joovy I got off ebay -omg it was brill-I gave it to a mum on here when I was finished with it. It used to get 3 yrold twins and 5 yrold on it for long journeys It fitted in boot of my micra and my hall. I had a double with a buggy board and that was so unwieldy-hte joovy got through the narrowest doorway and people didn't say 'you've got your hands full' cos they couldnt see child around the back!

do you really need a triple with three? A 3 year old is going to be rather heavy in there and surely will walk everywhere very soon?
