Hello there, we had our gorgeous third DD in August. We have decided to get a dishwasher as obv come the time when she has solids our sink is going to b even more full! We have gone for an a* energy rating and uses about 13 litres of water. We are on a water meter and I'm a wee bit worried I'm going to really notice a difference in our bill. Anyone out there that can give me some reassurance ?

TIA

you are supposed to use less water using a dishwasher than handwashing dishes so you might find your bill goes down

Ooh that's good to hear I'm constantly washing up so hope a dishwasher solves this :)

You have to have enough crockery and cutlery to leave the dirties in the DW until it's full though. You don't want to be putting it on when it's half full.

We have 2 dishwashers, one full of clean and the other filling with dirty. When we have a big family meal both get filled with the pots pans and plates.

Much better than washing by hand, less water etc.
