We have decided to go abroad this year - oct half term. Does anyone have any ideas about destinations? Age range from 4 to 16, with pre-teens in the middle so looking for something for everyone. Thought fully inclusive?

Any tips for travelling abroad with a large family?

Think all inclusive is the way to go for a large family, with the age range, plus time of year, i woud think the canaries would suit your needs, it's still sunny , as mainland Spain is gearing up for summer season ending . Los cristianos in Tenerife is a lovely resort, short airport transfer( under an hour) options to go sight seeing are mount teide, catamarans to see dolphins, loro parque and aqua park. Lovely resort to walk around, other resorts not too far away too.
Gran canaria too is lovely?

Greece, Turkey, Southern Italy.
YY to all inc.with those ages. But try and see the local town a bit too if you can.

Have you considered Cyprus? Everyone understands english they drive on the same side of the road and use the same plugs It can feel very similar to uk. You will also see a lot of the names you are familiar with in terms of shops bars and restaurants. You'll find the same waterparks and activities as the canaries and similar weather but nicer beaches in some parts in my opinion as well as great shopping history and culture and local food. You might think AI is a good option but there are some beautiful large villas here with private pools that might work out better value. Have a look at the owners direct website. Very user friendly.
