We are starting to look around for this years holiday. Does anyone have any suggestions about holiday destinations?

Where did you go last year? What was it like?

we did a couple of homeswaps to france, ireland and in the uk - yorkshire. each have taken a lot of preparation and trust but they all have been brilliant. including car swaps with families with bigger cars too so you can get around. France was the best/ We flew cheap airlines and saw our family through the glass as they landed. We only met onlne and through phonecalls. 7 yrs on we are still fb friends and their photos on the computer remind us just how lovely the area wi live in is. We have been following their "photomap" of our area ever since.

Depends how many of you there are. We are going for static caravans on private sites (ie not caravan park type places)

WE usually opt for tent camping - lots of fun and pretty hassle free once your set up.

we do Eurocamp or similar. Spain last year, Italy the previous year and this year France. I had 5 children each year and will have 6 this year. It costs around £2k which we think is pretty good for a foreign holiday. (Cornwall the previous 2 years which we have now abandoned due to crap weather and still pretty expensive compared to Eurocamp).

I should add that we drive down, stopping at a basic hotel overnight. that saves us alot of money on flights/car hire.
