HI

I have 3 teen / pre teen. Boys ages 13 and 14 and a girl 12 thinks she's 16
Been with DP for 2 years, he has DS age 7.

Always said i wouldn't have anymore, he agreed with with that. However recently been thinking about having one with him.

Pros and cons
Pro
Love to have an experiance of being 2 parents this time round
My kids ( i think ) would be pleased.
Can afford another

Cons
My lot are so independant now, could i go back again?
Am main earner so i think he would have to be SAHD ( know he would like this) but could i leave my baby after 6 months??
Finally slim (do i want to ruin this)

Anyone got similar experiance needs some opinions i think

I had another one when my three older ones were 15, 14 and 12. Love love love it. Can't come up with any negatives at all I'm afraid! I know that it's unusual, but I didn't put an ounce of weight on with her either, had a great pregnancy (I was 38 when she was born) and the older three adore her. She's 3 now and absolutely the most perfect finish to our family.

oh thank you,. maybe its not such a crazy idea then.

I am 32 and DP 27 so we have time.

How were your older kids with it?

Oh good grief - you can have loads more!!!

They were totally over the moon when I told them that I was pregnant. She adores them and they adore her. She also annoys the crap out of them, but they can only stay annoyed for all of 3 minutes as she just turns to them and says 'I do love you, you know'.

I cannot recommend it highly enough. Tis awesome doing it all over again. Sort of all the joys of having your 'first' baby, but with all the knowledge that you have gained with the others iyswim.

ha ha there won't be loads, just the one!!

thank you for your outlook, sometimes its hard to see from where you are what it would be like.

Think i may have to have a chat wit DP tonight... not sure about how he will feel, always agreed with my no more rule but has mentioned a couple of times it would be nice to be able to announce a pregnancy and all be happy for him ( he has a nightmare ex who doesn't see their son, and i presume no one was happy when they announced it)
