Transverse baby and weak stomach muscles?!

Hello, wonder if anyone can help or advise me please? When I was pregnant with my third baby I was told at 38 weeks that she was transverse. I spent a week or so in hospital and then was induced. A couple of the midwives commented on my lack of stomach muscles (thanks!) and that I had a "shelf" - which I guess is some term about the muscles being a bit useless. I had a very quick and normal delivery (all three were) after being induced. Am now starting to think we might like to try for a final baby but am worried about the weak stomach muscles etc comments. Would this happen again and could it be dangerous if the baby isn't kept in the right position? Am guessing this is something that happens after a few children? Have no idea who to ask but wondered if anyone else had any similar experiences please? Many thanks x

flossie - my 4th and 5th babies were transverse right up until the end. i think my 4th turned at about 40 1/2 weeks, born 2 weeks later. my 5th turned very late too, only days before delivery. The midwife told me that your uterus gets 'flabby' when it's been stretched so many times and doesn't push the baby into position very easily. Had no problems with delivery, think they both just fell out of my very slack undercariage (sorry - TMI!).
my babies were not very big though, all between 6lbs and 8 1/2lbs - that might make a difference?
