What did people think of it? Was it what you were expecting? Thought it was a positive portrayal of larger families which made a pleasant change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that the families that they picked consisted of stereotypical girls and boys. And I was dissappointed with the girls dad; he didn't seem to have a relationship with his daughters before the swap.

As the parent of one of each I treat them equally letting them play with each others toys, helping me with housework and cooking etc and I don't think that they are that different from each other.
I agree with you about the positive portrayal of larger families but I do think that the parents were not enforcing sexual stereotypes but they certainly weren't trying to break them iykwim.

OK, watched it now and I agree with Molly -it was pretty dull and not really any insight into differences in family life.
I'm sure we all know that girls are more likely to ballet and boys football anyway.
Do you think the girls' dad really gets made up every week ?

I thought it was quite balanced and I like the idea that you adapt to what you have. I think that's a really valuable message for all situations - that you adapt and adjust to the children you have over time, and you change as a result of that. The children were lovely ...
