Nut-free chocolate hamantashen filling

Does anybody have a recipe? I’m dubious that just putting a spoonful of choc chips in the hamantaschen would work. Otherwise I’ll need to sell a kidney and buy one of those tiny jars of Free-From choc spread - if I can even find any.

Cadbury's is nut free - well it's 'may contain nuts' as per many things.

One year I put in a chocolate button and it worked really well.

The trouble is finding it. I’ve tried the Waitrose, Tesco and Lidl local to us. There’s Sainsbury’s a bit further away, and they usually carry the ££££ JimJams brand - but not always the nut free one.

Won’t neat chocolate set very hard?

Gosh I didn’t know it was hard to find, it’s everywhere round me! My hamentashen dough is super soft so it worked well for me with the chocolate button but depends on how you like it.

some people make a brownie batter and use that to fill hamantashen.

theres an israeli brand called hashachar that is nut free.

leftover chocolate chanukah gelts works as well! (1 coin each hamantash)

I am sure you can make one as well...just google for nut free choc filling?

I used Malteser spread in the end. Went down very well. People said the filling was like a brownie. Ironically, I could not eat it, as it contains barley, which makes me ill! But I had also made plenty of traditional poppy seed hamantashen, so I was happy.

Onwards to Pesach 😅
