Did anybody hear the truly appalling anti-Semitic drivel spouted by James O’Brien on LBC yesterday? Apparently he was quoting one of his listeners, without verification of course, saying that his Jewish wife attended ‘Shabbat school’ (whatever that may be) where she was taught to hate non-Jews and consider them to be inferior.

Yes and it truly disturbed me. It brought me back to Hebrew classes as a child and it just made me sad to think something like this could be said. There was nothing that could be even remotely interpreted to this.
I can only think it has come from exactly what is going on in UNWRA schools in Palestine, and the kids tv shows there too. They turn it around and say actually this is what the Jews are doing, like they always do. And conveniently made the term ‘Shabbat school’
This man should be sacked immediately.

I'll be honest - I'm scared. I'm scared of what is going to happen. Each day seems worse than the one before when it comes to outright jew baiting, blood libel and sheer unadulterated antisemitism.

James O'Brien is an utterly disgrace - has been for a very long time.

Apparently he apologised on his show this morning.

Nick Ferrari and Shelagh Fogerty are supportive of the Jewish community.

He should have been fired. But then of course if he was they'd blame Jewish people!

What can I say- LBC is a disgrace.

It was so upsetting to hear. I've never heard of 'shabbat school' and never been taught or heard hate like that at Cheder,Jewish school or in Shul - all I've ever been taught at any Jewish educational place or heard at shul is to be kind and show love to the world.
Is that even a real message. They need to look into who sent it. It's so worrying and hugely upsetting he read it out without checking as it causes so much hate.
