Build A Bear Channukah

I've just ordered 2 sweet Chanukah bears.
I found it through a Facebook advert. Horrible to see comments on an ad for bears about Gaza and (in my view) Holocaust references (one commenter asked if the bears came with 'striped Pyjamas')

It made me order with even more vigour!
Ladies if you have small ones or anyone who likes a bear let's get their sales up!

In a similar vein it was sad to see Tony's chocoloney UK no longer do a Hannukah gift wrap chocolate with their personalisation choices which is so odd and I don't get the reason behind it (USA site still does).

Bump.
It's incredibly frustrating seeing such open Jew hate and feeling powerless.

Yes I have seen this for the last few years. It’s awful but there is no answer as the pro Palestinian people always come up with a reason why they are right and you are wrong.

My grandma used to say a phrase in Yiddish which basically translated to - it’s hard being a Jew.

Never a truer word said! Remember, we don’t need to justify ourselves. People have come for us before and we survive.

@JaneDoeHere thank you for replying.
Your comments about justification are so true. We have survived until and we will still. We are not a hate fuelled religion and I really just despair as to the age old question why us.

Anyway. I ordered some lovely bears for my kids and will be excited to give them out for the festival.

It's heartbreaking how something as innocent as a Chanukah bear is hijacked by the mob.

I bought the set for DD last year and she loved it. She plays with the bear and bunny all the time.

Not sure if this year's is the same as last year's. I will take a look.

ShoppingConcerned · 06/11/2024 18:43

@PurpleChrayn I agree. I also bought last year's set it was so cute. This year I bought some actual teddies with a cute tee shirt. Saying 'My 1st Channukah'
The comment I saw from one disgusting person on the ad about whether they come with 'stripped pyjamas' was so openly Anti Semitic that I almost cried. They so blatantly and openly hate without fear.

It's horrible.

Anything to do with children and antisemitism makes me extremely emotional.

I'm going to buy the 8-days set this year (it's a bear and a frog this year!) plus some of the bigger teds.

ShoppingConcerned · 06/11/2024 20:04

I agree I do think it's that it's something for Jewish Children. It takes a special kind of nasty to post on such a ad with hate.

Thanks for the reminder. Was too late last year they sold out. So have got for my daughter and nieces - so lovely for a big company to be representing chanukah like this ❤️
