I've watched it three times.

It's not getting any better.

It breaks my heart every time.

I cannot believe that anyone in the UK doesn't stand by Israel.

And anyone that marches, it's so venal and antisemitic.

It makes me angry.

I'm sorry.

I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet.

It's unbearable even to think about.

blackcherryconserve · 01/10/2024 19:38

I'm gearing myself up to watch it tonight.

I might be able to face watching it next year, if it's still on iPlayer then.

Knowing is bad enough, without having images too.

I’ve just finished watching on iPlayer because however shocking it is, it’s nothing compared to what these poor, beautiful young people went through and, for those who survived, what they will live with forever. For me, it feels like the right thing not to look away; it’s the least I can do.

Sometimes I think I don’t believe in evil, in a supernatural sense, but if it’s real, it’s right there to see.

But so are love, courage, and hope in the face of the very worst things imaginable.

I can't bring myself to see it yet. But I must. I must bear witness to the horror and never forget it. Just like with the Holocaust images. We must see the dark in able to hold onto the light.
