Heartbreaking. The horror they experienced for almost a year before finally being murdered. And it’s barely on the news in the UK.

Horrifing news. Hersh (z"l)'s parents fought so hard to get him back. May their memories be a blessing.

Heartbroken today, the mourning and grief feels global. Almost no-one posted first day of school pictures, every story was a wall of black, mourning, grief, tears. I think we all held on to Rachel's courage and faith, and have shattered along with her.

I saw this on instagram, and it resonated.

@EllaDisenchanted It's awful Ella, and especially heart breaking for children to hear on their special first day of school. I would say I hope you're OK, but that probably sounds a bit lame when you're obviously not. But there's people here thinking of you.

Thanks helene 🫂 I didn’t tell the kids, only shared the news with the oldest (nearly 15) at the end of the day when the others were in bed. We took first day pics, and sent them off with smiles, and let it out at home.

It's a good thing Yerushalaim municipality did not strike, as it is going to be thousands upon thousands who want to attend the funeral, and if transport wasn't running, it would be impossible.

I lit a memorial candle last night. Just saw a short clip of Rachel’s speech. Heartbreaking. Hamas are complete monsters. They’re also threatening to release video of the murdered hostages’ last words. It’s so laughable in the west people think they’re dealing with some kind of sensible or humane regime - they’re barbarians with iPhones.

I saw that. I haven’t watched these videos from Hamas up til now and I won’t start now. They want to get to us, complete psychological warfare. Why play their game 🤷‍♀️
