This is SUCH a long shot but two of my colleagues/school mum friends were in Manchester today for a conference and so I asked them to bring me some Challah/cholent/general Shabbat food as it is SO hard to come by up here (we're in Dundee). They went to (maybe 🙈) Dovids and then Brackmans and must have seemed very clueless but came back up with some amazing loaves and food and so I suspect whomever sold it to my pal Calum must have realised it was for a desperate Jewish mum living miles away from home.
If this was you or someone you know then thank you so much; it's made being a far away Jew just that little bit easier today 💖. (We're clearly not massively observant, but we're ethnically Jewish and my grandparents were Shoah survivors, so now more than ever we are leaning into our heritage).
