A children's book set in England in the middle ages, about two Jewish children, Elvira and her elder brother (Benedict?), who escape a pogrom through being outside their town on a berry-picking expedition. They try to walk to London to their distant family, and have all sorts of adventures. They fall in with Robin Hood and provide camouflage for a Crusader while hiding that they are Jewish. The brother gets thrown into jail and rescued by Friar Tuck. The crusader reveals that he has a menorah looted on his travels to or from the Holy Land. They make it to London and meet the Queen.

But what was it called?
