Genuinely don't understand

Just for full disclosure, I am not Jewish and don't know any Jewish people.

However, I was talking to DH last night and I just don't understand why people have such an issue with Jewish people. I am at a complete loss as to why there is always anti-semitism, and why the people who are always defending everyone else (BLM, Trans rights etc), are not doing the same for Jewish people.

I just wanted to say I am so sorry for everything you are going through at the moment (and historically tbh). Don't get me wrong, I wish none of this was happening on either side, but I don't really understand the situation to be honest so I can't comment apart from having sympathy with the people caught up in it on both sides.

So, anyway, I just wanted to extend my support and send love for what you are all going through at the moment.

Thank you.

I do appreciate it.

However, being reminded of "both sides" yet again when I (can't speak for others) am grieving pretty heavily (friend lost his 12-year-old twins in the Kibbutz Be'eri massacre) isn't exactly uplifting.

Who is weaker section and more velnerable would always gets defended always and same applies here. you wont hear any anti-xyzism in those other situations.

end of the day we all are third person between them. we support palastein means we want to live with palasteinss happyly ever or vice versa, which isn't possible in real.

Israel has an oppurtunity to do what they want and they are doing the same. people in Gaza also need to get rid of israeli controls over them.

QED
The eternal conflation of Judaism with whatever political issues are bothering people. The assumption that Jewish people are never the weaker people.

This entire post is nothing to do with why Jews are hated, yet at the same time is a perfect example of how Jews are not treated the same as others.

Note that I am not claiming that the poster hates Jews.

@ThankYouVeryMuchGerry thank you for reaching out ♥️

This is much appreciated.

I think the hate stems the same way it does for every mistreated minority group: taught through generations of ignorance.

In this instance (triggered by the Israel/Palestine conflict specifically) it's different. Usually the left wing is far more open-minded and respectful of different cultures, but I think much of the current hatred of Jewish people is because some "open-minded" individuals would do anything to promote their support of Palestine (an oppressed minority), including throwing their oppressors (Netanyahu et al) including all of those in the same ethnicity and religion who don't share the same values or actions under the bus.
