Vegetarian Kiddush

Afternoon!

I attend services in an exceptionally tiny community (under 30 people) as we live very rurally.

We are having a Shabbat service with prayers for ALL the innocents caught up in this utter horror and outrage. And have been asked to bring something to share for the kiddush. It has to be vegetarian as members have differing kosher requirements and I usually bring devilled eggs or slices of rye bread with cheese, halved grapes and honey.

I'd like to do something a little different and would love some ideas. I have a favourite salad I often make at home which consists of thinly sliced and salated radishes with thinly sliced onion rings, sour cream and dill. But I would love some ideas.

I feel Kiddush needs to be a finger buffet type thing. Too much to balance cutlery while standing around. Unless you do a sit-down kiddush?

How about cheese borekas?

ooh cheese borekas will definitely work. :)

We do tend to sit because there are so few of us. One of us always makes the most wonderful vegan lokshen which i always look forward to.

How about falafel on sticks with pitta Slices to dip into Hummus.
Also potato salad
Babaganoush

I like the sound of that thank you. Smile
