Have you used it? if yes, what's your experience?

They seem to have one of the best offers for holding shares, no commission, but trustpilot reviews aren't great.

Is this the Martin Lewis one? Invest £200 and then get it back in July?

Anyone?

It originated as a spread betting site. I have no experience of them, but it strikes me that if they are offering to hold shares without charging commission then they will be making their money from somewhere else, probably at your expense.

Personally, I would sooner pay a little more for a household name that I have confidence in.

Agree, having thought about this some more. They clearly need some cash to make more, before you get it back months later.. and for that reason… I’m out!

So any actual users of this platform?

I'd never heard of it until I read this thread, so I'm not surprised you're struggling to attract comments from actual users.

It looks like it is set up for traders rather than buy-and-hold investors and I imagine they probably make most of their money through a wider spread than you might get from another broker, as well as from spread betting and CFDs. Even their own banner says that 68% of retail investors lose money on those.

Their fee illustration, where they compare with alternatives such as HL, ii and AJ Bell, is based on a 'typical IG investor" which I imagine is nothing like a typical HL or AJ Bell investor.

The Trustpilot comments don't fill me with confidence either. Non existent customer service, delays transferring in, problems withdrawing all seem common, but the big one for me is that they do no appear to be whole-of-market brokers. It appears you can only buy what they let you buy.

I'm sure, with their various promotions, that there are people out there for whom this provider would be suitable, but it's not for me.
