Anyone moved their portolio from Hagreaves Lansdown to a cheaper platform? Where? How easy was it to switch?

Fed up of HL's high costs. I've got a lost of alternatives from one of the newspapers which shows a couple of other options would be much cheaper for me.

How easy is it to switch in reality?

The platform you're transferring to handles it all. Just open an account and give them the details. Can take a few weeks, but you don't need to do anything except wait.

There are probably some cashback offerat for transferring at the moment - usually are coming up to the end of the tax year.

Thank you. That's reassuring! I'm being ripped off at present by them.

i wasn't with HL but I was bring charged too much for both S&S ISA and Sipp so moved them both to interactive investor. It was very easy and pretty fast! I had a link when I signed up for a year of no account fees which is a big saving, depending on the size of your portfolio.

ii have a good range of investments including ready made portfolios and the instant message service is excellent I have used it a lot, I also needed to speak to them on the phone a couple of times and found them helpful and kind. Unlike Vanguard who were rude and unhelpful! (Plenty of vanguard funds on ii)
