300k just sitting there

I have roughly 300k sitting in a foreign bank account which I have managed to save up over the past years through working abroad, and 90k sitting in NS&I on 4% interest. I don't want to buy a property but I don't really have any idea on what to do or where to start with investing.. anyone able to advise?!

I would speak to an independent financial adviser, OP. I'd want some of that in a pension, some saved for long term and some available immediately. I'd want the maximum £50K in premium bonds, too.

You've done so well to save so much!

Spend time learning. Then start small and build confidence.

As you have money abroad, get tax advice from a tax accountant. Could you simply bring that money from abroad to the UK... I don't know.
