Where would you put 10k for best return?

We have been gifted 10K towards buying a house - hopefully next year. We have already maxed out our LISAs. Can anyone recommend a decent savings account we can put the whole amount in without penalty to withdraw?

Trading 212 cash ISA is paying 5.2%, instant access (withdrawal might take 2-3 days). Interest is paid daily, no restrictions. DM me if you'd like a referral link. If you've exceeded your total ISA limit you can put cash in the non-ISA account for the same interest rate.

Kent Reliance is paying 5.11% on instant access.

Look on something like money saving expert - they usually have lists of best paying accounts with details of t&cs

Premium bonds? Tax free on winnings.

Chip cash ISA. 5.1% interest is paid on the 4th of the month.

Far from the highest return, unless you are exceptionally lucky.

Mama1980 · 08/07/2024 07:41

Is that 5% a year?

Yes. All the accounts mentioned above are annual rates.

neonjumper · 09/07/2024 18:52

What would the return be on that rate for one year?

NoBinturongsHereMate · 09/07/2024 19:12

5%

£1000 for 1 year at 5.2% would earn £52 interest.

Pastimperfection · 10/07/2024 10:43

No it wouldn’t it would earn £520

Yes, 10k for the OP would but the PP says 1000. It confused me too.
