SIPP question - Interactive Investor platform

I’m new to investing and didn’t have a clue about any of this until recently so this may be a daft question…

I have opened a SIPP on the Interactive Investment platform and transferred my previous pension into it. I want to invest it in the Vanguard Lifestrategy 80 tracker fund - I assumed there would be a way to set up a regular contribution into the SIPP that would automatically be added to the amount already invested in the Vanguard fund but it seems it just goes into the SIPP and I then have to manually ‘purchase’ units each time to add it to the total invested in Vanguard - is this correct?

Apologies if this makes no sense!

You shouldn't need to manually purchase units - mine automatically invests my contribution each month. On the regular investments screen you should be able to add investments to be purchased each month.

Thank you @CirreltheSquirrel, I will take another look. Hopefully I haven’t done the wrong thing buy investing the initial amount in this way

I have set up a regular payment into my SIPP but I still can't find how to automatically invest it each month. Looks like I might have to call ii - hopefully they have good customer service

Did you manage to get this sorted out @Gnomegarden32 ?

Gnomegarden32 · 20/11/2023 20:47

I messaged ii but got an unhelpful generic response so I’ve been meaning to phone them. Thanks @Hollyhocks7 for the reminder - I must do it this week!
