Anyone invested in any start-up companies using this platform?

Yes, I've done two small investments. I regard them as speculative and for long term (at least 10 years) before I expect to see any dividend or serious capital growth. In the meantime the incentive for me is as a tax break as they are both EIS qualifying.

Thank you Sun,

Yes, tiny amounts mostly in businesses I support anyway.

Hi. This is an oldish thread but I didn’t see the point in starting a new one. Hope that’s ok.

I have been considering this for the investment opportunities and the tax relief at 30pc for EIS. So I am wondering whether the OP invested in the end, also whether anyone else has had experience of Seedr. The Trustpilot reviews are ok. I understand the risks of the companies going under.

Still just teeny amounts invested, but no issues with the platform. I'd only make large investments though if I'd exhausted all my tax free options.

What is a teeny amount? Im interested in doing this also but I have no idea of figures.

Medee · 06/03/2024 18:08

In my case, about £100 each into 7 companies. It’s just fun money.

Hi I'm the original poster, I didn't invest in the end so sorry I'm no help!

I invested in two companies 5-6 years ago. As of today both went bust. Lost some money.
