Has anybody bought shares in gold? If so, can you recommend who to buy it with, without extortionate charges?

Please can somebody help with the above? I’m thinking of buying shares in gold and would like some recommendations on which companies to invest in ?

100% this. The entire point of holding gold is a hedge against inflation and for bonus points if there’s a serious SHTF moment. What use is a certificate in times of crisis?

Look at Britannia gold coins, they are great because exempt from capital gains tax and a popular choice.

I've had a look at this this morning, it's very interesting. I can see from a SHTF point of view, you need to keep the gold at home or somewhere you can definitely access in an emergency. I appreciate no-one will want to give specifics, but are people happy about storing it at home?
