HEX crypto investment

Help, please.

(Sorry, a little long)

Background: I fairly recently found out DH had been investing into crypto and other investments, (mostly) without my knowledge; suffice to say I wasn't best pleased and he eventually stopped (and I'm confident he has stopped). I don't have any real view on how his investments to date are faring - I don't believe any of the active ones are currently in 'profit'. So I'm a bit wary/skeptical of this world as my default position, as things stand.

DH now wants to start investing in "HEX". He wants to invest £100 a month, and he's asking for me to agree to this.

I know NOTHING about crypto, nor have I been particularly interested if I'm honest. I've googled it, alongside 'independent reviews', and the first article that came up was quite scathing of it being a ponsi scheme and cleverly marketed etc. DH is also sending me links to videos that support what he wants me to agree to.

I know his intentions are for the best, but I honestly don't know what to read, watch or believe. I'm really hoping someone here can point me in the direction of real, impartial advice or insight into how it works etc.

Thanks!

Sorry don’t have too much advice other than be very careful with crypto, especially the more esoteric like hex. I’m down on nearly all my crypto investments atm, and glad it’s only a tiny proportion of my savings. Don’t invest any more than you can afford to lose. From what I’ve read/heard about hex it looks like one that you’d want to be careful about.

I believe this is a good option, and I started doing it myself because I understand that you can get good money there. I recommend you try SingularityDAO DynaSet apps because they will help you track changes. You will also be able to connect a wallet to make a profit quickly. You will be able to earn performance and management fees when alpha is generated above the threshold. Dynamic Asset Manager based on AI tracks trends and manages assets. I wish you good luck!

Down 73% in a month. Down 15% today.

@ImALittlePea

The highest market cap and most traded tokens don't give huge amounts of profit but they're far safer to hold onto in the long run (crypto like Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, DOT). Other crypto tokens can give higher returns but also a much higher chance of losing most of your investment.

One thing to consider, when trading stocks or crypto, it's a far better strategy to diversify your assets/portfolio and hold multiple stocks/tokens at the same time, rather than putting all your eggs in one basket. Putting £100 a month into the same less reputable token every time is a hugely risky strategy and not really a smart one.

There are also people that have been claiming Hex token (specifically Hex, not all crypto) is a scam -

Thanks all!

DH has started to set aside some money to start investing again, but I've suggested to maybe look at another scheme or portfolio. That article does fill me with worry and confirms my apprehension, @WhenHipposFly

I’m inclined to see it as a bit of a Ponzi scheme, which people do make money from, the belief in it will be what drives the price, so of course holders of crypto are only too willing to encourage you to buy.

HEX is a cryptocurrency, and like any investment, it comes with its own set of risks and rewards. It's great that you've been doing your research and seeking independent reviews to better understand it.
Before making any decisions, it might be helpful for both you and DH to have a thorough conversation about your financial goals, risk tolerance, and the potential impact of this investment on your overall financial situation. Additionally, staying informed about the cryptocurrency market, including Upcoming ICOs, can provide valuable insights into new opportunities and trends.
