Children's savings - delaying access?

I've been saving small amounts over the years for my children in standard kids' savings accounts.
As my children approach their teens I was thinking it might be sensible to move the money to an account of some sort where it only becomes accessible at e.g. 21. I hope it isn't too controlling of me but I'd prefer to prevent the possibility of them having access at 16 when they might be less sensible than when they're older.... I'm only thinking about this now unfortunately, the savjngs accounts they have now are in their own names, is there a way to tie them in/move to a different type of account, so the money is accessible at 21 not 16?

As far as I am aware you can withdraw the money and put into an account in your name which you can then release when the right time. That is what we are doing as we want the money to be a house deposit so won’t want to release it until he is in his 20s.

Thank you, I didn't realise that was possible, I will look into doing that
