I'm quite new to investing and have been doing a lot of reading.

It seems that ITs seem to outperform funds quite consistently. But they seem much more complicated to invest in and riskier (which is probably why they give better returns if you pick the right one)

Does anyone have any experience in this area?

I've read about ITs like SMT, Monks, Polar capital technology which seem to have done spectacularly well.

The returns since the pandemic crash have been particularly good but I doubt if that will continue.

You can often by the IT version of many funds. They are higher risk as they are close ended and not open and their value floats.
