Clearwater Wealth Management

Just wondering if anyone has ever invested with Clearwater Wealth Management?

They are part of St James Place and one of their advisors has contacted me. I've had a preliminary chat with him but feel a bit unsure. However I've never invested at all before so generally very clueless.

Thank you.

Did they cold call you or had you initiated contact?

A cold call, I felt a bit railroaded into talking in a weird way as they caught me at a funny moment and I initially misunderstood and thought it was someone who my employer did business with at first (entirely my own fault but busy day, you know how it can be!)

Mmmm.... cold calling about pensions has been banned but sadly not for general investments. They're obviously desperate to drum up business.

If you didn't approach them and you're not comfortable then please don't have any hesitation in treating them like any other doorstepper and decline their services point blank. They are being CF and just fishing for business.

Google St James's Place. I wouldn't touch them myself

Please be careful with a financial advisor, look closely at their charges, the platform they are using etc. Their charges can really add up, think about what they are doing for you. You can do a lot by yourself using Hargreaves Lansdown, Interactive Investor, Vanguard etc.

Have a look at Money to the Masses.

Thank you!

I've binned him off. Feels much better.

Thank you for the recommendations, I'll check those out
