I would like to invest in some specific shares e.g amazon etc. As I am 40% tax payer I understand it’s better for me to invest through share ISA. But I don’t know which platform to use for individual company shares. Please can I ask for your help. Thanks

If you are a beginner investor, it is very risky to invest in individual shares. If just one company gets into difficulty you end up losing a huge portion of your investment. Index funds are less volatile and for the most part will outperform any basket of individual shares chosen by even expert fund managers

I don't know much about shares but here's a link to a free share if you top up with £1.

Thank you very much to anyone using it.

Forgot to say my first free share was Astra Zeneca worth £74, so although it's just a bit of fun it's worth doing.
