Biggest return on £10k in 5 years

I’ve got £10k to invest short to medium term (5 years ish) and I’m wondering if anyone can make a suggestion.

I’m relatively open to risk and willing to take an (educated ish) chance on something.

At the minute it’s in premium bonds - i’d rather have zero interest and a chance of winning big than seeing it plod along at 5% return per annum in a low risk portfolio.

Any suggestions for someone who likes a bit of a gamble? There was a lady who mentioned farming hemp a few months ago that fascinated me but the amounts involved were much higher so I know my options are more limited.

Risk and return go together, get a high equity portfolio.

A VCT/ EIS? ... single stocks

I'd wait a bit if I were you OP.

I think the markets have a way to go yet before the bottom is reached. I'm sure they'll recover eventually. I'm not sure 5 years will be long enough.
