Premium bonds £50k

I put £50,000 in PB and so far have won £25 every month (3 draws so far) which seems to me to be rather unlucky since the chance of winning £25 is 1 in 25,000. So I'm winning half of what chance would expect each time.
Anyone else with recent experience of winnings on £50k? Wondering whether to pull some money out and invest elsewhere. Thanks.

PB aren't really a great investment - I they're better for when you've already maxed out better investments and want to try your luck.

The average return is about 1.4% but I've got the Marcus account that's 1.5%.

Yes PB are tax free but you get a £1000 tax free interest allowance if your earning under £50k anyway.

You can even get ISAs that are tax free and would probably be a better investment than PB too.

I cashed in Premium Bonds after looking at “winnings” over 3 years....were less than 2%.

invested in something else, for one example this one, in a choice of 2 versions, Income or Accumulation (many other choices and options available)

Income would prob be around £150 a month - plus the fund can also grow in value too (or equally fall in value too)

There are charges associated with investing...but overall still better for me than NS&I

I have that amount and average 75 a month. 125 this month though!

Thanks everyone, would seem I'm very unlucky then... I don't want to tie the money up in case we need it for extension, so might hang on another few months to see if my luck improves!
