Some one Please help, me and hubby have been thinking of buying a house, discussing for about a year on and off its just so confusing! Basically my question today is, if we get a mortgage in principle do we then have to accept that or can we change our mind and decide to wait? Or once we have the mortgage is principal do we have to take it? I'm honestly so lost with it all!

Your mortgage in principle will have an expiry date. You do not have to accept it as such but be mindful that a search will have been conducted on your credit file- if it's a hard search you may not be able to reapply for a new/different mortgage for a while,
