Mortgage- bad credit

My partner has good credit, I have poor credit. My score is 620.

All thanks to a delinquent account (a mobile phone bill that i blew off in 2015).
I'm planning on paying the balance off this week.

How much will it affect us?

I've seen a house which I love. We would need help to buy for the deposit, and then when DP gets his inheritance later this year, we'll be paying off the deposit ASAP.

Firstly, your score is irrelevant. It doesn’t exist beyond being a marketing tool for credit referencing agencies. No one sees it apart from you, inc lenders.

No one can say how much the mobile phone contract will affect your chances, all lenders have different criteria. your best bet is to find a broker who can advise you.
