I am thinking of start saving some money for the children but not sure what the best options are, will it be better to save in their Child Trust fund or open a junior ISA.

Theres loads of advice on the martin lewis website about these.

He never used to rate the Child Trust Funds at all but I dont know his current stance.

I have never paid anything into mine as pretty much every ISA going at the time offered far more. My DDs is about to pay out in around 12 months time and according to the most recent statement from the money the government paid into it she is down around £350 having had management/handling fees taken off for the last 15 years.
