I don't know the exact details of why or how, but thought I would ask if any of you knew how to track it down?? Tia

Does your friend remember how she opened the account?

She could try looking here: www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/reclaim-lost-assets-free

No, I don't think she does, unfortunately. It's just such a lot of money to lose, I'll get her to look at that.

If she looks back in her online bank accounts she should see evidence of the transfer.

Good Idea disguise
Similar lines check the inbox on her email by searching ‘ISA confirmation ‘, ‘ISA deposit’ even just ‘ISA, may bring something up.

This is the sort of thing I would do Blush

I would do an email search yes.

Fabvegetablegrower · 26/01/2018 21:36

Surely she would receive some sort of annual statement? How can you loose £10k! 😂

OutToGetYou · 26/01/2018 21:40

How long ago? Was it all at once? A cash isa, I assume, not an equity one (if it was equity maybe she invested it all in Carillon!)

Suggest she searches the Unclaimed Assets Register online. The fee was £25 but not sure if it may be different/higher now.
