Saving account advice (please)

So I have an isa account and have saved a fair amount in that, but I've been talking to my SO and we've both agreed he does not quite have the knack for saving that I have. I also have saved enough to want to put some money away for a bit and keep maybe just a bit in my isa that I will keep adding to. My SO wants something he can't instantly access. Is there a type of saver that is no access but you can still deposit into? (I'm talking UK banks so if you have any suggestions please let me know!)

Im sure all banks do savings accounts were the money is locked away for up to 5 years. However i think you need to have a set amount each month going into the account by standing order.

I always bank with the same bank. I have a 2 halifax bank accounts plus a credit card with them so i would just choose the bank you have the most accounts with and see what they do. Im sure they all offer an account were money is locked away

Dont use high street banks for savings, rates are really awful even in the current climate. Real inflation is over 2%. You can only just match that with a five year fix, no withdrawals alllowed.

The current accounts that pay real interest are also disappearing.
