Im looking at purchasing a business and im wondering how much detail I can ask about the finances, such as staff salaries rent bills that sort if thing.

I bit of a newby at purchasing a business as I have only ever started them from scratch.

As part of due diligence you should see at least the last three years accounts full detail. You need to know every detail of turnover, fixed costs and variable costs. This should help you to know what your strategy is going to be increased turnover, decreased costs those kind of things.
