Best place for about 25k

My mum passed away last year. I'm just in the process of selling her house. Once I've paid her mortgage off and our loans/credit cards, as well putting some aside for ds, ill have about 25k left.

We want to move house (ours is on the market) and will use the 25k towards a bigger home, so don't want to tie it up in long term investments.

What would be a good way of investing it short-term

For short term, I'd just keep it in a savings account. You won't earn much, but won't lose anything either.

In the short term find the best account that pays interest monthly - if you are a non tax payer make sure you sign an R85 when you open the account- that stops the 20% being taken off at source.
