Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS fertility referral..
Has anybody been referred here and got to the point of being seen?
Our referral was completed by our GP and received by the hospital in January. We were told to follow up in March if we hadn’t heard anything, we were told it would be a 7 month wait from the date of referral.
Called again in July and was told it’s a 10 month wait. I then spoke to PALs as the communication is different every time and wanted some solid advice.
PALs called me back after a month, said they are increasing activity over the next 6 weeks, I also spoke to the booking team the same day and they told me to expect an appointment within 4 weeks. 6 weeks passed so I called again and then told there are still people they are trying to book into December before they get to our referral so we will likely hear in November when our appointment will be. Assuming it will be some time in the new year.. so a wait of 12 months or more.
Its so frustrating never getting a straight answer, for something already so emotive it’s disheartening.
