Driving myself crazy with these pregnancy tests and faint lines

I’ve done two pregnancy tests on separate days first thing in the morning and got faint lines on both of them but after all the disappointment and just putting all my paperwork in for ivf I’m terrified to even believe I could actually be pregnant so I’m just looking for opinions on these lines

They look pretty clear to me. How many DPO do you think you are?

rantismymiddlename1 · 10/08/2026 07:08

That could be a positive result. Have you tried other pregnancy test kits of a different brand? Also when was your last period?

emmaaneden · 10/08/2026 07:39

I think I’m about 12 dpo and my last period was 16th July i have a clear blue but I haven’t tried it yet I was going to wait till I miss my period but I only get test like that first thing in the morning if I take one during the day there’s no line

I’m assuming it’s faint because it’s too early and your urine is the most concentrated first thing in the morning that’s why it’s recommended to test at those times. Try testing with the Clearblue once you miss your period.

I will I just hate getting my hopes up I called the doctor to try get them to confirm but they said you go straight to maternity now for a midwife appointment they don’t confirm pregnancy anymore

yes that’s true the only way you can confirm early is if you go on a private scan. Otherwise with NHS you have to wait until you’re 12 weeks along for the first scan. I think you’re due your period some time this week? Won’t be long now.

I’m truly sorry. Have you ever had your bloods worked up? I know someone who took hormone pills as she had hormonal imbalance and this was causing the pregnancy to not progress.

emmaaneden · Yesterday 23:12

I’ve had my bloods done and everything come back as normal there diagnosis was unexplained infertility I was already ovulating on my own but they offered letrazole before my ivf I thought anything is worth a try I just feel so numb to it all now it’s the most draining journey
