Feeling low after disappointing egg collection, any success with frozen embryos?

Egg collection results disappointing. 2 collected. Only 1 mature. Using donor sperm. Clinic suggested another collection so not to risk the sperm sample but we cannot afford another collection. We have two frozen; 4CC and an early blast. If there isn’t to be a fresh transfer Monday, we will have no choice but to use a frozen embryo. Likely the early blast.

Any success stories? Feeling a bit down unfortunately.

I also wouldn’t get hung up on the grades. If it’s good enough to be frozen it’s good enough to transfer. Good luck for your egg from this round! It’s a tough journey.

@PeacockMonster My son was from a poorly rated blast and he's perfection. Then we had a frozen one that was more highly graded and I could never get why they froze that one but now I understand it's cause it took 6 days to get to where he got in 5. But my point being that the highly rated one didn't stick and little Mr lower rated is now a strapping 8 yr old! Ratings only give likelihoods. And this might be the one for you. Sending a hand hold, it's a tough old ride. I can't afford it either; up to my eyes in debt but I rationalize it by thinking of the shite people get loans for!

There is nothing wrong with frozen embryos. My son was frozen for 6 months before I transferred him. In fact I had pgta so I had zero fresh transfers there was no option. Good luck

Still no call from the clinic to advise on whether a fresh transfer will be going ahead today. 😢 I really don’t need this anxiety today!

@bolognazey ai just left the clinic. No 5 days blast but a day 5 morula. Fingers crossed !!!
