Hello, has anyone had experience going private to get letrozole prescribed and how easy it is? Have known PCOS.Have recently had NHS fertility investigations (bloods, inc AMH & hycosy - all clear) however a very long wait to be seen for next consultation for letrozole / treatment plan. Thinking of going private to get letrozole prescribed. Will they accept my NHS results so I dont have to spend on repeats also once you go private for this can you go back to NHS?🙏

Hi, I did everything private right up to the point of IUI then switched back to NHS and it was fine.

I also have PCOS and also got letrozole prescribed privately. The doctor wanted us to have a HSG and semen analysis done then she prescribed it.

I would recommend finding a doctor that has both a private and NHS clinic because that really helped that she would transfer us back to NHS when she could and we could keep the same doctor. she could also see all my previous test results.

good luck xx

@Magicstar2025 no problem with going private with NHS results and then going back to NHS. I did this for something else to leapfrog a bottleneck.
