Would you get a second opinion privately whilst having NHS IVF treatment?

looks like IVF might be our next step as letrozole has been unsuccessful, however we’ve had recurrent chemicals so I’m worried about “wasting” our one funded cycle without fully exploring what could be causing this. No issues with our NHS clinic but it’s such a long wait between appointments and I’m not sure what else they best on the NHS. We’ve considered having a consultation with a private clinic, and if they suggested any other private tests to look at that, but not to have any treatment obviously alongside as I know you shouldn’t be treated in two places at once. I feel a bit awkward but also time is ticking! I just don’t want to use up our free round if there’s an issue that will just cause miscarriage or for it to fail .

Has anyone done this?

It's fine do private tests and get prescriptions to speed things along. Take the results to discuss with your NHS consultant.
