Positive tests after embryo transfer but period-like bleeding and spotting

Would love to hear success stories - I tested positive with 3 different brand pregnancy tests this morning. I only did the test (I'm 10 days post 5 day fresh embryo transfer) because I've been spotting on and off for days and this morning it started to feel more like a period. I wanted to put myself out of my misery. I wasn't remotely expecting to see positive test results. Is there anyone out there who experienced period like bleeding and still went on with a positive pregnancy? Of course I'm aware it could be failing but until I get my bloods back tomorrow I'm trying to keep some hope alive.

Congratulations on the positive test! How severe is the bleeding? I was told cramping and spotting on and off (red, brown and pink) was normal throughout the first trimester but I have also heard stories of women with stronger bleeds and all was fine so keeping my fingers firmly crossed!!!!

@Waitingforday6 Id say it feels like a period now. I've got no cramping or pain but definitely heavier than spotting. If it was brown or lighter I wouldn't feel so anxious but I'm mostly just scared it's a chemical positive or it did implant but has failed and this is why I'm bleeding. I've gone into the clinic to have bloods and will know tomorrow. I've found this whole process harrowing. And even though I know it's not over yet, I felt so ready to see a negative it's made me tail spin even more to see positive yet still be bleeding x

@ByGoldBear aorry to hear of your bleeding, are you on progesterone? I only ask as my clinic states you cannot ‘period type bleed’ whilst on this
i had quite a bit of bleeding and it was a small hematona that is quite common with ivf
can you contact your EPU for assessment

@camelinastorm Hi, yes I'm on 400mg X2 a day. I had bloods today and will get results in the morning. Just such a confusing feeling and trying not to get ahead of myself.
